YJ steering upgrade...

Postby Po' riggity on March 6th, 2007, 1:14 pm

Ok, so I have some questions. I am looking at upgrading the steering in the yj, since its time to replace the tie rod ends, I thought I would spend a little more money and upgrade it. Here is what Ive been looking at. First, the jb4x4 crossover steerinng bracket and draglink:

For the bracket and the longer draglink, I'm looking at $200, then I was thinking I could spend another $100 and buy the rustys offroad tie rod:

I figure that would do me some good for the time being. I thought about doing the WJ swap, but I don't really have the money for the parts, and I am actually pretty happy with my brakes. So, whatcha think?

For the Tie rod I would go to Poisonspyder.com.
For $98 they will custom build it to the exact length you want.
You can also purchase the parts seperatly and apply a welder to save some more $$'s.
